Vision Our vision for the Heritage CRC Website is that it becomes an extension of what the church is already doing. We are serving the community and the world in practical ways by helping them through hard times and difficult problems. We are spreading the gospel of God's love and salvation through Jesus. And we are encouraging and supporting each other as we worship and serve God. All of these areas can be assisted and enhanced by the modern technology of the internet. The website can contain the bulletin, meeting calendar, phone numbers and such. These are all helpful. But it can do so much more. It can be a nonthreatening way for those who are seeking to learn more about God and about Heritage. It can help connect needy and struggling people with members and services that can improve their lives and show God's love. And it can help build the fellowship of the congregation by helping us know each other better, and sharing burdens and concerns. We see the Heritage Website as a place where people will come for help finding a job, caring for ailing parents, fixing a leaking roof, etc. Also where seekers may learn the simple truths of the gospel through short essays, links, sermons, online study courses, or email with Heritage staff or volunteer "online greeters". We see such a website involving the existing programs and committees, including the Deacons, the Outreach, Fellowship, and Education committees. The WebSite Committee will provide the framework and technology for these others to carry out these ministries. We as the Website Committee are providing ideas. Each area of the church should prayerfully brainstorm for ways to use the website to extend and enhance their programs and ministries.
